Located on the ground floor of the College's historic Administration Building, the Notre Dame College Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to non-current records which document the organization, development, achievements and activities of this Catholic liberal arts college located in northeastern Ohio. It is a repository for records of permanent value to the College’s continuing operation, and also serves as an information center for research about the College.

The collection includes important administrative papers, self-studies and strategic planning documents, board and committee minutes; media releases and print media about the College or her students, alumni, faculty or staff; all publications of the College (annual reports, fact books, catalogs, course schedules, alumni, faculty and staff newsletters or magazines, handbooks, brochures, directories, etc.); student publications (Notre Dame News, the Pivot, Pall Mall, etc.); architectural prints; posters, flyers, programs, and invitations; A/V materials pertaining to the College; scrapbooks and yearbooks; and, a large photo and slide collection dating from the College’s  founding in 1922 on Ansel Road in Cleveland to its present-day location on Green Road in South Euclid.

The collection does not contain academic records (Registrar), certain board materials (President’s Office), or financial records (Finance or Student Financial Aid).

Donating Materials to the College Archives

The Notre Dame College Archives welcomes the donation of materials related to the College. Of particular interest are materials from students and alumni which provide a glimpse into student life, both academic and extra-curricular. Examples include scrapbooks, photographs, campus publications, club materials, etc. Please contact the archivist for further information.

Closed Mondays, weekends, and holidays

Researchers are encouraged to give advance notice about their project and to schedule appointments to review materials.
