Notre Dame Director of Athletics Susan Hlavacek has been named to the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Executive Committee, the organization announced.

The healthcare field is one of the fastest-growing employment areas in the nation; and Notre Dame College is adopting to that trend by adding three new professional development programs to its already rich catalog for adult learners.

The Cuyahoga County Department of Development has awarded Notre Dame College $200,000 for renovations of campus facilities. The grant was announced during the inaugural meeting of the county’s Economic Development Commission on Jan. 25. 

Notre Dame College President Andrew P. Roth has announced that the College’s board of directors has approved the purchase of the former Regina High School at 1857 South Green Road. Established in 1953, the all-girls high school graduated its last class in June 2010.

Notre Dame College, in collaboration with Ensemble Theatre, will host 12 performances of Charles Smith’s “Free Man of Color,” a historical drama about Ohio’s first African American college graduate, in the Performing Arts Center from Feb. 10 to Feb. 27.

Notre Dame is the first college in Ohio to become a chapter of the Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society for students with disabilities.

Notre Dame College students and alumni are invited to a mini job fair sponsored by NDC’s Career Services Center in the foyer of the Administration Building from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16.  

At Notre Dame College, we work hard to promote a “culture of giving.” As part of this pursuit and to incorporate a more comprehensive stewardship of our donors, we have installed three new donor plaques on the first floor of the Administration Building. These plaques provide a permanent recognition of our donors and showcase the importance of their contributions to the lives of our students.

Notre Dame College’s Clara Fritzsche Library will host a joint book signing and art exhibit opening reception that can be called a family affair. On Jan. 27, Notre Dame College Professor Dalma Takács will sign her latest book “The Condo: Or…Life, a Sequel,” while her daughter Judy Takács will open her exhibit “His, Hers, and the Truth: Paintings of Human Realism.”

With the turn of the calendar, Notre Dame Baseball is now just six weeks away, and the team and its fans are turning their attention to the program's annual fundraiser banquet.
