Notre Dame College Gives Away Undergraduate Scholarship at The FEST

Notre Dame College once again awarded a $40,000 scholarship during The FEST 2014, a free family Christian festival, Sunday, August 3, in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Colleen Joyce a senior at Mentor, Ohio, High School won the 2014 Notre Dame FEST Scholarship Award.

The College’s third annual FEST scholarship─valid for a full-time undergraduate who is granted admission and enrolls beginning in 2015, 2016 or 2017─is worth $10,000 a year, renewable for up to four years.

Notre Dame is a sponsor of The FEST and hosted a tent next to the main stage during the event.

Prospective students also could enter for a chance to win the Notre Dame College FEST Scholarship on the College website. The winner was announced on stage during The FEST.

Hosted by the Diocese of Cleveland on the grounds of the Center for Pastoral Leadership at 28700 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe, The FEST attracts more than 35,000 people every year. It features live Christian bands, games and giveaways, BMX shows, children’s activities, local vendors, festival foods and opportunities for prayer. The day ends with an outdoor Mass shared by thousands at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks.

The Notre Dame FEST Scholarship has no cash value and is not eligible to be used with other forms of institutional aid. To redeem the value of the scholarship, the bearer of the financial aid award letter must present it to the dean of enrollment upon applying to the College.
