Notre Dame's fourth annual “Books That Changed the World” seminar series will explore the theme “Men and Women Together (or Not) and delve into timeless questions about human relationships, love, commitment, betrayal and loyalty.

Marching Band Presents Drum Corps Clinic

Notre Dame College is proud to present its 2011 Drum Corps – Marching Band Clinic to be conducted by the Jersey Surf DCI World Class Drum and Bugle Corps on Aug. 9. The free clinic is open to marching band members from high schools and colleges.

Lose The Training Wheels, Inc., a nationally recognized nonprofit organization, brings its innovative style of teaching children with disabilities how to ride a bicycle to Notre Dame College from Aug. 8 to 12. At NDC, 30 kids will learn how to ride a bike. 

Tenth Annual Golf Outing a Rousing Success

Notre Dame’s 10th Annual Falcon Golf Classic was a rousing success, raising a record amount of cash and in-kind donations for the College’s athletics department. More than 130 alumni, employees and friends of the Notre Dame community participated.

Notre Dame College will award one of its highest honors, the 2011 Fidelia Award, to alumna Ethel McGuigan ’48. McGuigan will receive the award during a dinner in her honor in the College’s Great Room on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Professors Blogs About Holocaust Studies

Dr. Louise Prochaska is spending three weeks in Jerusalem, Israel, as a participant in the Summer Institute at Yad Vashem, the most comprehensive center of Holocaust commemoration in the world. She is blogging about her experiences.

Ryan Summers and Meghan Baron will enter nurse residency at Vanderbilt.

Two graduates of Notre Dame's nursing program were chosen over hundreds of other applicants to enter one of the most prestigious nurse residency programs in the country. Meghan Baron and Ryan Summers will attend Vanderbilt University.

NDC students are bringing back life to vacant storefronts in South Euclid by displaying their artwork as part of the Storefront Art Initiative, a collaboration between Notre Dame College and the city to publicize their art and attract tenants.

Dr. Beth Kaskel is the new chair of Notre Dame College's nursing division.

Notre Dame has named Dr. Beth L. Kaskel, DNP, MS, RN, CNE the new chair of its nursing division, replacing Dr. Diane Jedlicka who retired last year. Dr. Kaskel brings a wealth of experience to NDC as she hopes to continue the program's success.
