NDC Theatre Presents "GODSPELL"

Notre Dame College’s Theatre Department presents “GODSPELL,” the Broadway musical based on the Gospel According to Matthew, for one weekend only on Oct. 21, 22 and 23.

Directed and choreographed by Assistant Professor of Communication and Theatre Jacqi Loewy, the show, which is currently being revived on Broadway due to its popularity, is a family-friendly and joyful theatrical event.

The NDC cast includes 13 students and four faculty members, most notably Brian Marshall as Jesus. In addition to teaching in the Notre Dame Communication Department, Marshall is at the helm of Mercury Summer Stock, where he is often seen in leading roles. (Mercury will be NDC’s summer theatre company-in-residence beginning in June.) “GODSPELL” is under the musical direction of nursing student Keith Cavey and the band is comprised of Notre Dame students as well.

Show times in the Performing Arts Center are noon and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the door (cash or check only). They are $5 for NDC students and staff, $10 for the general public. Reservations can be made at 216.373.5189.

Notre Dame College is located at 4545 College Road in South Euclid. For further information contact Loewy at 216.373.5189 or jloewy@ndc.edu
