Notre Dame College to Conduct Annual Golf Classic to Benefit Student-athletes July 22

The Notre Dame College athletic department will host the 12th Annual Falcon Golf Classic on Monday, July 22, at StoneWater Golf Club  in Highland Heights, Ohio.

The outing is once again presented by 850 AM ESPN CLEVELAND WKNR and ANDERSON COACH & TRAVEL, which will have on-air personalities broadcasting live from the site.

Proceeds from the scramble will benefit the needs of Notre Dame student-athletes. The day’s activities begin at 8 a.m. with registration, a continental breakfast and open driving range. The shotgun start is at 9 a.m., followed by a buffet luncheon at 2:30 p.m. and the awards presentation, raffle and auction at 3:15 p.m.

The Falcon Golf Classic is open to alumni, family and friends of the Notre Dame College community. A $200 per player donation, of which a portion is tax deductible, includes 18 holes of golf, cart and goodie bag, along with the breakfast and lunch.

First played in 2002, the annual outing supports Notre Dame’s 24 athletic teams and the College’s  more than 700 student-athletes. Funds raised in recent years have supported the institution of new programs such as rugby, the College’s recent move into NCAA Division II and the future construction of an on-campus practice field.

To register a foursome for the event or to learn about sponsorship opportunities, contact Javier Smith, coordinator of annual fund and athletic fundraising, at 216.373.6515 or jmsmith@ndc.edu.
