Gretchen Noetzel Walsh

Gretchen Noetzel Walsh M.S. Ed., is the Director of the Academic Support Center for Students with Learning Differences. An experienced instructor and counselor, she assists students with documented learning disabilities at Notre Dame College.

Walsh formerly worked at a local community college, where she served as Instructional Advisor and tutor to a diverse population of students, including those with learning disabilities. Her background includes designing and teaching developmental English review classes and English as a Second Language classes, and consulting with faculty and students about classroom accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Gretchen has worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor with the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation and as a substitute teacher with the Solon School System near Cleveland, Ohio.

Gretchen and her husband, Michael, live in Solon. They have two grown daughters. In her free time, Gretchen enjoys biking and hiking in the Metroparks, reading, and watching historical or dramatic movies. She also admits to being a “weak golfer.”
