Topics include data structures, data models (hierarchical, network, inverted, relational), database management systems, database administration, data dictionaries, database design, and issues related to data management (ownership, integrity, sharing, security, privacy). Exposure to microcomputer database management systems. Prerequisites: IS 222, IS 260 and IS 310.
