An introductory course for biology majors. The topics covered include evolution, a survey of the taxonomic and phylogenetic organization of life with attention given to each of the biological Domains and an introduction into ecology and ecosystems. Prerequisite for all biology courses numbered 260 or higher. Prerequisite: EN 100 or equivalent; MA 100 or equivalent. Not recommended for non-science majors. recommended for non-science majors.
