Community Engagement and CLERY Education Compliance

The Notre Dame College Police Department Community Engagement and CLERY Education Compliance Division is now in to its 2nd year of operation.  The Notre Dame College Police value this very vital and important position, as we are committed to making a positive impact upon our students, and we do this through outreach education, collaboration and partnership with many offices internally, to include: Student Services; Academic Affairs; Student Activities; Residence Life; Campus Ministries; and the Counseling Center, just to name a few. We enjoy a great relationship with external partners like the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, Cuyahoga County Domestic Violence Network and other social service agencies, in order to be a valuable resource to our students in crisis.

The Community Engagement part of the Division is making sure Notre Dame College Police have a presence on the campus to be proactive in addressing crime related issues, thru prevention and education.  Our hope is to empower students to be alert, aware and be able to respond correctly in the unfortunate likelihood they fall victim to crime here or anywhere. The CLERY Education Compliance plays a very important role, ensuring the campus community and college as a whole, are taking a proactive view and response to compliance with all Federal regulations (CLERY).

It is our hope to continue to develop this program and bring you more updates on our activities and involvement on campus as it relates to crime prevention and education. We hope to add the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) course to our programing in Spring 2019 and make this valuable training available to our students.

If there are ever any questions, or there is programming you would like to see or have us facilitate, please do not hesitate to reach out to us by emailing Officer Jack Clair.
