Hello! My name is Ted and I am glad to be serving as the Director of Campus Ministry here at Notre Dame College. My wife Monica and I have been married for over 20 years and we have three children - Grace (16), Isaiah (12), and Lauren (3). Before coming to Notre Dame, I worked as a youth minister for 15 years and, after that, for 5 years at a different college. My favorite parts of those jobs was involving students in service and organizing trips to orphanages and schools in places like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Uganda.
I am looking forward to getting to know you. Please come by the Campus Ministry Lounge and hang out with us. Drop me an email if you want to set up a time to get together (email@example.com).
Hello everyone! My name is Jacqueline Wyman, the 2013- 2014 graduate assistant in Campus Ministry at Notre Dame College. As a graduate assistant I will be serving mostly in the role as service opportunity coordinator.
Recently, I moved back to Cleveland after a yearlong fellowship program in Germany (Parlamentarisches Patenschaft Programm). Prior to the fellowship, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Foreign Affairs at John Carroll University.
My passions are running, reading, cooking/baking, music, and intercultural communication and politics (especially the points at which they intersect). I have run two marathons and hope to continue adding more to the list. My favorite types of music are hip hop, dancehall, and jazz. I truly believe in world peace and the fact that coffee could make any day even better- which is not too shocking because I also work at Starbucks.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with students, faculty and staff at Notre Dame College as well as study in the Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies program. Please feel free to stop by the Campus Ministry office or send me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to meeting you!
Hey There! My name is Roni! I am currently a Freshman here at NDC. My major is Psychology, and I hope to one day receive my Ph.D. in Child and Family Psychology. I came to Notre Dame because of the small campus and it was far from home! My job in Campus Ministry Office is to lend a helping hand to Jacqueline and Ted. I come from a little town called Enon, about 30-45 minutes from Dayton. I live my mom, brother (A.J.) and sister (Kati). My parents are divorced, and my dad travels a lot! I would love to live on a farm one day! I love music, singing, hanging out with friends and spending time with my family. I miss my church back home but look forward to finding a new one, to see what God has in store for me!
Hey! My name is Laurie Shorts and I am a senior psychology major from Meadville, Pennsylvania. Even though I am not Catholic, I have realized that we, as Christians are all searching for the same answers and your denomination really doesn't matter too much in the big scheme. At NDC, I am involved in many activities including marching, concert, and pep band, where I serve as a woodwind section leader, choir, where I have been the secretary and currently the vice-president and alto section leader, theatre, and creative writing club.
Music is really something I love, so one of my main jobs for the CMO is to be a music minister for the student Mass on Sunday nights. Also, I am the student contact for the new non-denominational faith service, ACCELERATE. My hope is that this aspect of campus ministry continues to grow into an outreach for students who may not know who God is or who might have questions about their faith. I believe that my many life changing experiences have led me to ministry and I believe that I can truly help people become closer with God. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me: email@example.com.
Wishing you a wonderful semester! I'll end with my favorite Bible verse because it is very important to me that people know that God has great plans for all of us!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans for you to prosper and not to harm you, but plans for a hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
