Director of Rugby & Head Coach
Brian McCue is the Director of Rugby at Notre Dame College and Head Coach of the men’s team. He has 31 years of rugby experience as a player and coach. McCue is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he was a Collegiate All-American in 1985. He played on the Midwest & Ohio Select Side Teams from 1984-92 and was captain of the Midwest U-25 ITT National Championship Side in 1987. He is the former captain and office holder in the Pittsburgh Rugby Club and former member of the Gordon Rugby Club in Sydney, Australia. Most recently McCue has been the Head Coach of Hudson High School Varsity Rugby Club from 2002 – 2012. He has USA Rugby Level I Coaching certification.
Head Coach Women's Rugby
Mark Andrade is the Head Coach of the women’s club team. He is a former collegiate rugby athlete and graduate of Mount San Antonio College and Ashford University. Mark has over 8 years of playing experience and 16 years of coaching experience at various levels. Mark has most recently been the Head Coach the Hudson Girls Rugby Club from 2010 to 2012.
Assistant Coach & Graduate Assistant
Justin Fetko is the Assistant Coach of the men's team and graduate assistant. Fetko played at Hudson High School and the University of Dayton. After graduation, he returned to Hudson and helped coach high school rugby. He also helped to start the Hudson middle school program.
Jason Fox is the Assistant Coach of the men’s Rugby Team. Fox is a graduate of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio where he is a 2000 inductee in the sports hall of fame, as well as a graduate of the University of Houston. He has over 30 years experience playing and coaching rugby. Fox played collegiate rugby at the University of Houston, and has national and international experience playing for the Cleveland Rovers, All Ohio Select Side 15’s, Midwest Select Side 7’s, U.S. Eagle Camp 7’s, and U.S. Atlantis 7’s. His coaching experience includes coaching the U.S. Atlantis 7’s, the U.S. Eagle Camp 7’s, and St. Edward High School from 1999 to 2009. During his time at St. Edward High School the team was 8 time league champions, 5 time state runner-up, and was nationally ranked. He has promoted the sport of Rugby in the area as a referee and as founder of the Northern Ohio Rugby Academy and various Rugby leagues.
Mary Warbel is the assistant coach of the NDC Women's Team. She has over 12 years of playing experience at various levels and has assisted with several high school rugby programs. Warbel was a founding member of the Akron Women's Rugby Team in 2001, where she served as long-time captain, president, and executive board member. She helped initiate many projects within the Akron Rugby Club, notably, the annual Spring event, "Prom on the Pitch," which is a charity game for the Battered Women's Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties.
