As part of our dedication to Arts Education, Performing Arts Scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of generous donors. This is a remarkable opportunity that NDC offers students, regardless of their academic interests or athletic involvement.

No Scholarship Audition required for students wanting to perform in a music or theatre ensemble. Placements occur during the first week of class. Dance placements occur during the fall semester.

Auditions are required only for students enrolling in the
Minor in Music or Minor in Theatre programs. 

Minor in Music: Instrumental 
Bring your instrument if you have one.
-2 prepared pieces in contrasting styles. 
-Simple instrumental exercises.
-Simple sight-reading exercise.
-Interview with director for colorguard/twirler.

Minor in Music: Vocal
-2 prepared pieces in contrasting styles.
-Simple vocal exercises.
-Simple sight-reading exercise. 

Minor in Theatre
-Monologue reading for acting.
-Interview with director for technical theatre.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

If you cannot come to campus for an in-person visit, but want to be considered for a Performing Arts Scholarship, you may send a 1-2 minute video of you singing/playing/acting to PerformingArts@ndc.edu

You can send video files from a camera or smartphone, or a YouTube link.

*Incoming students take Intro to Musicianship (MU-103) during their first semester, giving them the opportunity to be better equipped for performing ensembles. Intro to Musicianship, along with choir/band/theatre, is for credit and counts towards the student’s degree requirements.
